The Civic Park fountain was constructed in 1966, to a design by American sculptress Margel Hinder. Conservation works undertaken included construction of a new underground pump station, renewal of all hydraulic components, detailed conservation of the copper sculpture and installation of 70 tonnes of granite paving and coping.
